The Sixth Form Transition process begins in year 10, when all students have a ‘future meeting’ with a member of the Senior Leadership Team about future plans and career aspirations. This is supplemented through careers topics covered through PSHE and assemblies in years 10 and 11.

In year 11, students have a ‘careers interview’ with Ms McIntyre (Careers Adviser) followed by a further one-to-one with a member of the Senior Leadership Team. One final subject confirmation meeting is held with year 11s when they collect their GCSE results in the summer.

Year 11 applicants (internal and external) are invited to subject taster days ahead of a bespoke transition programme including team building activities and further subject taster sessions in term 6.
